I went to my first blog party here in San Francisco a couple weeks ago. Founded by Jamie Wong, Blog Party is a meet up for bloggers of all types. Parties are held once a month in San Francisco, but a party has been held in L.A. and I’ve heard the parties may expand to other cities in the future. It’s a great way for bloggers to connect, network, and build a community. Each party is held in a great space and there are lots of great bites and drinks to be had and you can score some great swag as well!
The Blog Party I went to was held at Sift Dessert Bar on California St. Sift and its owners are famous for winning the Food Network’s Cupcake Wars and for good reason. They make delicious cupcakes, cookies, ice cream treats, macarons, and pies.
Each Blog Party has sponsors so not only was Sift Dessert Bar a sponsor, but so was Hall Wines which offered wine pairings to go with dessert! I had a sweet chocolate pie with some delicious red wine.
Other sponsors included Zico Premium Coconut Water, Whistle, Public, Baggu, OPI, and Bare Minerals. Each attendee at the party got to go home with a Blog Party box filled with goodies from the sponsors and a couple attendees won extra prizes in a raffle. My favorite takeaways were a cleansing oil from DHC and gorgeous stationery from Pennie Post.
I met a lot of fashion, lifestyle, food, health + fitness, and travel bloggers and it was great to connect with people who enjoy indulging in the same creative outlet that I do. We were able to exchange business cards and swap ideas, tips, and tricks which is always a benefit to this here blog. And all the while we snacked on meats, cheeses, and breads and veggies and fruit.
I’m looking forward to attending another party soon to see familiar faces and meet new ones in the community. If you want to see more photos from the Blog Party, you can see them here at the Blog Party site. I highly recommend going to a party if you are in the San Francisco area, or ask Blog Party to come to your town!
I paid for my own ticket to attend the Blog Party and all thoughts and opinions are my own!
