I don’t think you could ever get bored in London. There is always so much to do from the tourist sites and shopping to exploring the many neighborhoods and cuisines. And on that last point, I’m pretty sure you could never go hungry in the English capital either.
Even though London is one of my favorite cities in the world for sentimental reasons, I can’t bring myself to go back and revisit it. When Rolf Potts’ Vagabonding posted an argument on return travel, for those who enjoy traveling to the same place over and over again, I couldn’t help but disagree.
I am officially addicted to The Tudors, the Showtime series which chronicles the reign of Henry VIII. I love the characters, the history and the court atmosphere and it reminded me of my visit to Hampton Court Palace, Henry’s favorite palace during his reign. Located just 30 minutes outside of London, a visit to Hampton Court is a great day trip.
