I was sick for a few days last week and debated whether or not to go into work. I stayed home but not without feeling a little bit of guilt that I should be doing work. Then I remembered reading this article about The Theology of Rest. And then I proceeded to take a two hour nap which was amazing! I can’t remember the last time I took a nap.

A Picnic in the Royal Botanic Gardens

One of my favorite moments in Sydney happened on my very first day there with my friend Sasha and her hubby Chase. Our walk across the Harbour Bridge ended in the Royal Botanic Gardens where we sat on some blankets spread out half in the sun and half in the shade and had a picnic.

Floating with the Swans in Boston

Boston Public Garden

The swan boat ride in Boston Public Garden isn’t exciting or riveting. In fact, it’s downright mellow. For a few dollars, you take a 10 minute ride around the lake that sits in the center of the garden, passing underneath the bridge and by the willow trees and swans that live in the lake. It’s pretty relaxing so I suggest taking this ride after walking the Freedom Trail all day long to give your feet a rest.
