The Queen Victoria Building in Sydney is one of the most beautiful shopping malls I’ve ever stepped foot in. It was built as a monument to the Queen and opened way back in 1898. It originally was used as a concert hall, and then a city library, and now is home to gorgeous fashions.
My friend and I sat at a table on the first floor and had some tea while the clocks chimed every half hour. We just people-watched and gazed at the glass ceiling, stained glass windows, and ornate balconies and railings. If I only I could afford some Valentino, I would shop there every day. But if shopping is not your thing, then you should definitely visit the Queen Victoria Building for the architecture.
